Abstract

1,243,850. Ambulances. BINZ & CO. 12 Feb., 1969 [18 July, 1968], No. 7683/69. Heading B7B. A stretcher carrier 14 is supported at its forward end by links 17 pivoted at 18 to brackets secured to the floor 12 and at its rear end by toggle links 28, 29. The links 17 have integral arms 21 carrying resilient buffers 22 to prevent road shocks from being transmitted to the stretcher if desired although levers 24 pivoted to the arms 21 may be raised to the dotted position where the roller 27 engages the part 11 when the resiliency is not required. The rear links 28, 29 are maintained in their extreme positions by a spring-loaded pin mounted on the arm 29 entering holes 35, 36 in the other arm 28, the pin being remote controlled via a cable 40.
