A low-boiling composition suitable for use as a refrigerant comprises SF 6 and either CHClF 2 or CHF 3 , the mol. percentage of 5F 6 being from 35 to 92 when the halide is CHClF 2 and from 1 to 35 when the halide is CHF 3 .
