Abstract
1,174,389. Refrigerating. ARKLA INDUSTRIES Inc. 27 Sept., 1968 [5 Oct., 1967], No. 46050/68. Heading F4H. In an absorption refrigeration system, the absorbent is an aqueous saline solution having therein a vapour pressure depressant which is ethylene (or diethylene) glycol monobutyl ether. The depressant is preferably provided in the range of 0À001 to 1À0 weight per cent based on total solution and the absorbent is a solution of lithium chloride or lithium bromide.
