Abstract

1,237,974. Concealed hinge. RICHARD HEINZE JUN. [trading as RICHARD HEINZE], 13 March, 1969 [5 April, 1968], No. 13268/69. Heading E2F. A concealed hinge comprises a first link 21, pivoted at 20 to a fitting 9 attached to an article of furniture 1, 2, and at 22 in a casing 17 inset into a flap 3 which is to be pivoted with respect to the article; a second link 15, one end of which is pivoted at 16 in the casing and the other end of which has a pin 14 which slides in a slot 13 in the fitting 9; and a third link 19 pivotally attached at 18 to the second link and at 20 to the fitting. The fitting 9 may be adjustably mounted (screw 10) on a base plate 4, itself adjustably mounted (screws 5 and 6) on the article of furniture 2. The casing 17 can be secured in the flap 3 either by screws (26) and inclined screw-holes (Fig. 2, not shown) or by a barb-like profile 23'.
