Abstract

1,237,443. Selective printing. AUTELCA A.G. 19 Aug., 1968 [21 Aug., 1967], No. 39653/68, Heading B6F. [Also in Division G4] A cardboard ticket web 20 is fed in steps through a guide 18 past a plurality of printing stations 4, 10, which print a ticket on the end portion of the web, the end portion being cut off at 23 and the web then retracted ready to have the next ticket printed. As shown the web is fed from a drum 19 by a conveyer cylinder 22 driven by means connected to a pulse transmitter and controlled by a pulse counter. The counter may also control solenoids 15, 17, 24 operating the printing wheels and the guillotine. As the web is retracted the slack is taken up by a jockey roller. A second drum 19 may be provided 192 (Fig. 2) and may be brought into operation automatically when the first drum is exhausted. The two webs may be fed by independent conveyer cylinders through guides which converge before the first printing station. The web may be retracted to the point A or to beneath the drum.
