[Also in Divisions F3-F4] A gas burner is fabricated from a single length of sheet metal slotted to form the eventual flame ports 5; the sheet metal is bent to form a head 2 and the side walls of a gas duct 1 of the burner; to the thus bent-structure are fitted plates 8 to define a constricted throat 7 which plates 8 have flanges 10 to define the top of the gas duct 1; and subsequently a plate 11 is fitted to define the bottom of the gas duct 1. Each flame port 5 consists of a plurality of slits 6 and the flame ports 5 are spaced apart a distance which is greater than the length of the individual flame ports 5.
