Abstract

1,148,815. Gas burners. AQUA-CHEM Inc. 14 Sept., 1967 [19 Oct., 1966], No. 42039/67. Heading F4T. A burner for use in a fire tube boiler comprises a tube or header 18 provided with spaced openings 33 in each of which is a burner disc 37 formed of a single length of a corrugated ribbon of stainless steel, galvanized steel or brass and adjacent openings 33 are connected by slots (35) containing straight ribbon inserts (46) flame deflectors (50) preventing the flame issuing from the straight inserts (46) from impinging on the boiler tube but allowing ignition of one disc from another.
