Abstract

1,222,528. Espagnolet bolt mechanism. S. W. BENGTSSON. 23 Sept., 1968 [9 Oct,- 1967], No. 45156/68. Heading E2A. . . A bolt casing 16 and driving mechanism for a bolt mechanism of the type having an edge rail 10, at least one slidable operating rod 11, the side of the casing facing the edge rail being open at 38 when in an unmounted position, the driving mechanism mounted in the casing including at least one link 36 pivotably connectable at 36 to the operating rod is characterised by the feature that in the unmounted position of the casing the pivot connection 36 of the link can project through the opening 38. This facilitates assembly of the link. The casing comprises two plates 16 with cross members 17, the latter also constituting guides for the operating rod. Two optional holes 20 are provided for member 19 which co-operates with stop 40 and arm 26 of the driving member 29 to limit the movement of the latter. The casing may be closed at the side opposite opening 38. The pivots 36, 37 engaging with holes 25 in the operating rod may alternatively be provided on the rod and engage holes in the links.
