Abstract
1,217,304. Hydraulic motor control circuit. KOEHRING CO. June 26, 1969 [Dec. 13, 1968], No. 32404/69. Heading F1P. [Also in Division F2] In a valve mechanism for controlling doubleacting motor 7, fluid pump 12 passes via check valve 18, passage 15 and line 17 to chamber 16 whence it is admitted to one side or the other of the motor upon raising of spool 19 or 20 by actuation of pilot valve 8 to pressurize port C1 or C2. The other port is simultaneously depressurized to allow the other spool to be lowered by work port pressure applied there above via 34, 35 to exhaust the other side of the motor. When the motor is acting against a load, delivery pressure at 15 is high and acts via 60 on plunger 61 to unseat valve 51 to provide an exhaust path via 30, 53, 52, 13. When the load assists the motor pressure at 15 falls whereas that at 52 rises and the pressure differential across valve 50 eventually unseats the latter to allow the exhaust fluid to flow to 15 thereby supplementing the pump output and preventing void formation in the motor. The exhaust fluid also flows via 67, 68, 57, 69 to assist in keeping pilot operated pump unloader valve 48 closed, and via 43 and pilot valve 8 to assist in keeping the operative spool raised. In Fig. 2, pressure rise at 52 eventually moves valve 80 leftwards and acts in chamber 57 to bias relief valve 72 closed. Valve 80 may be embodied in the relief valve.
