Abstract

1,212,361. Shoring trenches. WALTER KIRKLAND (STEEL) Ltd. 2 April, 1968 [20 Oct., 1967], No. 47828/67. Heading E1E. A shoring device for a trench comprises two tubular uprights 112, 113 which are interconnected by telescopic tubes 12 and links 126 having adjustable pin-and-slot connection. The device also incorporates ground-engaging members 150 and brackets 152 for the attachment of scaffolding tubes. The links 126 are connected to the upright 113 by means permitting vertical adjustment for details of which Fig. 13 (not shown), should be referred to. In a modification, the uprights are interconnected 'by a pivotal link arrangement having locking means acting thereon in the form of a pin-and-slot vertically adjustably arm, see Fig. 1 of Prov. Drawings (not shown).
