1,208,918. Stabilization of 1,1,1-trichloroethane. DYNAMIT NOBEL A.G. 29 Dec., 1967 [31 Dec., 1966], No. 59176/67. Addition to 1,030,438. Heading C2C. [Also in Division C5] 1:1:1-Trichloroethane is stabilized by addition of an organic nitrile, a C 1-4 alkylmononitrate, 1,4-dioxan and/or an aliphatic diamine or higher polyamine. The composition may also contain nitromethane and/or a C 1-5 alcohol. The mononitrate is preferably isopropyl, methyl, ethyl or 2-ethoxyethyl nitrate, the nitrile is preferably acetonitrile, the diamine is preferably ethylene diamine and the alcohol is preferably t-butanol. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,052,086.
