Axles.-The front axle of a motor-vehicle, one end of which is shown in elevation in Fig. 1, is made of a straight bar A of I-shaped or similar cross-section, having at each end a boss B for the upper stub-axle pivot bearing, a similar boss J for the lower bearing being carried by an arm H bolted to brackets C, E, formed by lateral extensions of the flanges of the bar and also serving as seats for the springs.
