Abstract

1,207,763. Shuttleless looms. NUOVO PIGNONE S.p.A. 26 July, 1968 [28 July, 1967], No. 35915/68. Heading DIE. In a shuttleless loom wefts are positioned by selectors 5 in front of a single inserter under the control of a jacquard, the selectors being movable axially in a vertical plane which is at an angle to the weft direction and not swing- able about any axis transverse to their own axes. The jacquard reading needles rotate a two armed lever 38 to engage a catch 25 in a bar 17 on a continuously reciprocating knife 27. The movement of the bar causes movement of the selector 5. After each pick the reading needles are all positively lifted.
