Abstract

1,206,809. Roller conveyers. RELIANCE (CORDS & CABLES) Ltd. 13 May, 1969 [13 May, 1968], No. 22647/68. Addition to 1,181,512. Heading B8A. An elongated structural member 11 of a rollertrack has notches to receive bearings 17, 18 which receive the axle 14 of a roller 12, the notches being so shaped that the bearings cannot be freely removed through the mouths 25 of the notches. The lengths of the roller hub portion 23 and the axle 14 are such that contact between one of the ends 15, 16 of the axle with the bottom of the hole in the respective bearing occurs before an end face of the portion 23 touches the adjacent bearing. The bearings are of nylon with molybdenum disulphide and the roller body is of plastics moulded on to the axle which is of stainless steel. In assembly, the bearings 17, 18 are pressed through the mouths of the notches.
