Abstract

1357264 Conveyer rollers P C D MOY 23 March 1973 [24 March 1972] 14095/72 Heading B8A A conveyer idler roller has a ball bearing of which the inner race 12 is located on an elastomeric sleeve 13. The sleeve is moulded on to a threaded metal bush 16 into which is screwed a bolt 17. When the bolt is tightened, a flange 15 of the sleeve 13 is secured against a frame member 14 and the sleeve, being compressed axially, expands to grip the race 12 which is pressed squarely against the member 14. In Fig. 2 (not shown), the bush (16) lies partially within the race (12). The bearing may be of the roller type.
