Abstract

1,204,580. Pharmaceutical dosage forms. ASPRO-NICHOLAS Ltd. 20 Feb., 1969 [5 Oct., 1968], No. 47323/68. Heading A5B. An oral pharmaceutical dosage form comprises a capsule containing two or more discrete tablets, at least one of which contains a drug, the dimensions of the tablets and capsule being so chosen as to substantially prevent movement of the tablets, the tablets being positioned in the capsule as a column one above the other (see fig. 2). The drugs in the tablets may be incompatible one with another or one or more of the tablets may be so formulated such as by coating, microencapsulation or resination to delay the release of the drug. Several combinations of drugs are specified.
