Protectors, construction of. - A rubber lift 1 for shoe heels is formed with a concave upper surface 2, and with either a plane or a concave lower surface, and is provided with an embedded plate 5 also concave on its upper surface.. The lift is secured to the heel by centrally arranged fastenings, and when in position it has a pronounced concave tread surface. The lower portion 15 of the lift may be vulcanized until it is tougher and less resilient than the upper portion 16. In a modified construction, the rear portion of the lift is tougher than the forward or breast portion.
