Abstract

1,198,939. Umbrella handle. F. BREMSHEY, W. FULLING and H. BREMSHEY. 4 July, 1968 [7 July, 1967], No. 32023/68. Heading A4P. An umbrella handle comprises an insert 7 enclosed in a cylindrical cap 1, the insert having an integrally moulded eye 6 projecting through a hole 5 in the end wall of the cap for attachment of a loop (not shown). The insert consists of a central sleeve with longitudinal radially projecting fins 11 which slope outwards over the regions 11<SP>1</SP> to provide a wedging effect when the insert is pushed into the cylindrical portion 2 of the cap. The eye projects from a raised disc-shaped portion 9 which engages in the hole 5. The umbrella shaft is inserted into a bore in the sleeve and secured by a transverse pin.
