Abstract

1,192,918. Spooling machines. WHARTON ENG. (ELSTREE) Ltd. 31 July, 1967 [3 Aug., 1966] No. 34859/66. Heading D1J. A spooling machine comprises a driven drum 4 onto which wire or the like is wound, a fixed guide 3 and a pivoted arm 22 having two wire guiding pulleys 20, 21, mounted thereon. The arm 22 is mounted so as to pivot in a plane substantially parallel to the axis of the drum 4. (Fig. 1) and is provided with frictional damping for the pivotal movement, (Figs. 4 and 5). One of the pulleys may be adjustable along the arm 22. Adjustable stops (30) may limit the pivoted movement of the arm.
