Abstract
1,189,952. Explosive compositions. DYNAMIT NOBEL A.G. 10 April, 1968 [13 April, 1967], No. 17385/68. Heading C1D. An electrically conductive priming composition comprises an electrically conductive material, e.g. graphite or finely divided silver, at least 30% by weight of an initiating explosive, e.g. silver azide or lead azide, and a secondary explosive having a detonation sensitivity not greater than that of PETN. Suitable secondary explosives are PETN, nitromannitol, hexogen and TNT. The secondary explosive and the electrically conductive material may first be mixed and then the initiating explosive added.
