Steam-pressure sprayers; jets with regulable orifices.-In a pitch burner for boiler furnaces, &c., comprising a steam-jacketed pitch chamber, the steam for injecting and atomizing the pitch is divided into two streams near the burner nozzle and the pitch outlet is provided with a regulating-disk having orifices of different sizes, any of which may be used. In the form shown. the pitch chamber b and the steam jacket care provided with worm channels, and the steam from the outlet g is led through the inlet h to annular channels i, j at the outlet f. The regulating-disk k is rotated by a spindle n, seated by a spring o, and provided with a series of holes m of different sizes. An extension q engages locking- slots p. A cleaning-rod r having a stepped operative end is provided.
