Abstract

1,185,926. Load container. INTERNATIONAL FERRY FREIGHT L t d. 9 Oct., 1968 [17 July, 1967], No. 32715/67. Headings B8E and B8P. A standard container traffic container 2 is adapted for use with granular material by the provision of a plastic bag lining 1 having inlet sleeves 12 and a discharge sleeve 13. The sleeves 12 are accessible through hatches 9 having covers 10 while the sleeve 13 discharges through a door 3 in the container end. The bag 1 is attached to hooks 14 on rails at the top of the container. To assist discharge, which is usually effected by tipping, deflector plates 7 are provided hinged to the container wall along their top edge so that they can be raised to an inoperative position when the container is used for normal goods. Filling is usually assisted by slight air pressure.
