Abstract

1307464 Folding containers TOPPAN PRINTING CO Ltd 22 April 1971 [23 April 1970] 10762/71 Heading B8P A folding container for liquids in the shape of a triangular prism comprises a blank 1 of cardboard folded in two along a centre line 5 and a synthetic plastics film 3 attached to the inner surface of the folded blank. When the container is empty the blank 1 can be flattened, the film 3 being folded inside the blank along lines 11, 12 and 13. The film 3 may comprise a rectangular portion (6) and two triangular portions 7, (8) attached thereto which are adhered to the cardboard blank along marginal portions, or may comprise a triangular prism blow moulded from a parison and adhered along two sides to the cardboard blank. An outlet 22 is provided in the cardboard blank. In a modification, a filling aperture (25) is also provided in one end portion of the film 3. The cardboard blank may be coated with a polyethylene layer on its inner surface. The synthetic plastics film may be a laminate of polyester and polyethylene.
