Abstract

1,184,478. Container closures. LE BOU - CHAGE MECANIQUE. 28 June, 1967 [11 July, 1966; 23 Dec., 1966], No. 29841/67. Heading B8T. A tamperproof closure has a cap 52 joined by a tear strip 53 to a skirt 51 on which are ribs 56 abutting an annular surface 33a of a flange 33 or the edge of an annular rim (3), Fig. I (not shown), formed on a pouring spout. When the strip 53 is removed by means of a tab 62 the skirt remains on the neck 40 of a container to which the closure is applied, being held by an annular bead 54, and retains the spout by means of the ribs 56. Vertical ribs 55 on the skirt engage ribs 43 on the neck 40 to restrict , rotation of the cap.
