[Also in Division F1] A device for use in adjusting the valve clearance in an I.C. engine comprises a handle 1 with an air supply pipe 2 therein, a pressure gauge 7 connected to the supply pipe, an expander 3 for sealing the spark plug bore of an engine and a lever 4 on the handle for expanding the expander and simultaneously opening the supply pipe to a supply of air under pressure. A pressure relief valve 6 is provided between the gauge 7 and the supply pipe 2.
