Abstract

1,179,254. Looms. OFFICINE GALILEO S.p.A. 21 March, 1967 [10 May, 1966], No. 13083/67. Heading D1E. In shuttleless looms, a straight-line motion along line X-X of a point S on an arm 5, to which a weft inserter is connected, is obtained by securing arm 5, to a planetary pinion 4 geared to a fixed sun gear 1 through an idler 3. The gears 3 and 4 are carried on arm 2 which is rotated about the axis O of gear 1, the arms 2 and 5 being equal and the gear ratio between gears 1 and 4 being 1:2. The movement of the inserter may be modified by driving arm 2 through elliptical gearing.
