[Also in Division F2] A sound-absorbing cover for the outlet conduit of a pressure relief valve, e. g. a relief valve in the discharge line of a compressor supplying air to the exhaust manifold of a motor vehicle to burn any combustible constituents, comprises a mounting collar 10 fitted with a spring attachment clip 12, a perforated outlet disc 13, and a cup-shaped member 15 lined with a layer 16 of sound-absorbent material, e.g. basalt rock wool or felt. The layer 16 is retained by a steel-wire-mesh cup-shaped member 17.
