Abstract

1,160,558. Moulding concrete slabs. A. BERTIE. 15 Nov., 1966 [22 Sept., 1965], No. 40303/65. Heading B5A. A mould Fig. 1, for use in casting concrete crazy paving slabs is of rectangular form and is divided into four compartments 5-8 by three partitions 2-4 one extending between opposed side walls and at right angles thereto, a second one extending between adjacent walls and the third extending at right-angles from the second partition to a side wall. In use the mould is placed on a table, filled, compressed or vibrated to effect compaction and the excess matrix removed. A reinforcing expanded metal or plastics element may be embedded in the slabs. The slabs which form interlocking patterns are used to make paths of crazy paving.
