Abstract

1,152,096. Boxes; portable containers; container closures. S. W. V. DAVIES. 1 Feb., 1968 [24 Feb., 1967], No. 8868/67. Headings B8D, B8P and B8T. A resiliently deformable box body comprises diametrically opposed flat wall sections 1, separated by part-cylindrical wall sections 3, the latter having radially outward extending lips 2, to engage a lip (7), Fig. 3 (not shown); inside a resiliently deformable lid 5 &c. By simultaneously squeezing the flat wall sections 1 and the lid, the latter can be removed. The box-like body and lid can be made resilient by reinforcement with metal spring strips, or may be made of resilient plastics.
