Abstract

The container (1) has an upper edge (3) the outer part of which is turned down at (4). The cover (2) has a flat portion (5), a wall with an outwardly directed thickened portion (7) and an upper flange with an outer skirt portion (6). The bottom of the skirt has an inwardly directed thickened portion (8). When the lid is fitted the portion (7) tightly engages the wall of the container and the portion (8) also tightly engages the edge (4) to enhance the security of the seal. Both lid and container are of plastics material.
