Abstract
1,151,338. Rotary-piston Pumps. W. KRAMER. July 6, 1966 [July 10, 1965], No.30350/66. Heading F1F. A rotary-piston pump includes a piston 203 and an abutment member, or sealing rocker, 205 that is pivotally supported by a pair of stub shafts 258 in side walls 256 of the housing 202, said rocker being furnished with a sealing strip 250 that it is pressed against the piston by working fluid on the high-pressure side acting upon two faces 250, 252 thereof. Pivotal movement of the rocker away from the piston is prevented by a pair of parallel arms 257 engaging with the peripheral surface of the piston and fixed to the rocker. A second embodiment of the pump, Figs. 5 and 6 (not shown), differs from that shown mainly in the bearing (307) for the rocker is lubricated by a proportion of the working fluid, which is a liquid, flowing thereto through at least one passage (325) in the rocker. A prior-art pump of somewhat similar kind is described with reference to Fig. 1 (not shown) for the sake comparison; and, for a similar reason, a spring (210) is indicated in Fig. 7 (not shown), which spring is not included in the pump according to the invention.
