1,150,284. Lattice structure joints. G. C. B. AUGER and C. K. L. GRANT. 18 Aug., 1966 [19 Aug., 1965; 6 Oct., 1965], Nos. 35719/65 and 42413/65. Heading E1K. A hub member for the interconnection of several struts in a lattice framework comprises a first web 2 having several flange areas in a first plane, and a number of other similar webs 3, 4 meeting at the axis of symmetry of the first plane, which plane passes through the lines of symmetry of the number of planes. The struts of the framework may be attached by rivets, bolts, welding or corrugations formed in the ends of the struts engaging corresponding corrugations in the edges of the flanges. The hub may be built from identical units comprising a flange from the first web and flanges from two further sets of webs. The units may be equilateral triangles bent along the lines of the enclosed equilateral triangle.
