1,149,390. Coating with metals. SIEMENSSCHUCKERTWERKE A. G. Sept. 30, 1966 [Oct. 9, 1965], No.43929/66. Heading C7F. A plasma sprayed layer of e. g. tungsten on a ceramic or metal substrate of e.g. a UO 2 - MO ceramet, is coated with a material, e.g. tungsten, by pyrolytic decomposition of a compound, e.g. tungsten carbonyl, to fill the pores in the sprayed layer. The substrate is heated by induction, and the walls of the reaction chamber are heated by warm water.
