Abstract

1,146,945. Boom attachments for masted lift trucks. JOS. DYSON & SONS Inc. 9 March, 1967 [30 Dec., 1966], No. 11055/67. Heading B8H. A cross-bar 20, suspended by hook members 22 from the back frame of the lifting carriage, supports a boom 10 and a post 35. The post is supported in a vertical position by hooks 46 mounted on a yoke 36 which is adjustable vertically on the post. The hooks are mounted offset from the transverse centre line of the yoke whereby the rearward projection of the hooks may be varied by inverting the yoke to allow the attachment to be mounted on trucks with different fork mountings. Alternatively, the hooks may be formed with two longitudinally spaced hook portions. Figs. 8, 10 (not shown). The boom is maintained in a predetermined attitude by a chain 11 extending between the boom and the post.
