Abstract

1,145,569. Rotary positive -displacement pumps and motors. F.M. ANGULO. April 19, 1966 [April 20, 1965], No.16992/66. Heading F1F. A rotary positive-displacement hydraulic pump, or motor, comprises a radially-vaned rotor 2<SP>1</SP>, two rotary abutment members 3, 3<SP>1</SP> with recesses or cavities therein to allow the blades 2 of the rotor to pass them, and a rotary member 8 for controlling an outlet duct 20 for the working fluid, this member being furnished with a non-return valve. Gear-teeth on the rotor and the various rotary members effect synchronous rotation thereof. During operation of the pump or motor, the working fluid enters an annular channel 8<SP>1</SP> by way of two ducts 18 and 21, or 22, according the direction of rotation of the rotor, the fluid being discharged continuously by way of a duct 19 and intermittently through the duct 20 due to the action of the non-return valve. A second embodiment Figs. 2 and 3 (not shown), differs from that shown chiefly in that the ducts 20, 21, 22 and the non-return valve are dispensed with, and two rotors 2<SP>1</SP> are mounted on a common shaft, a single pair of members 3, 3<SP>1</SP> and a single member 8 being extended axially so that they serve both of the rotors. In this embodiment the blades 2 are provided with radial and axial sealing strips (6, 5).
