Abstract

1,144,972. Water-closet pans. ETABS. CLAUDE RAGOT. 30 Jan., 1967 [21 Feb., 1966], No. 4414/67. Heading E1C. In a water-closet pan, the supporting skirt 1 is cut away at the rear and the pan itself 2 is comparatively shallow so that the pipe connecting the outlet 32 to the sewer can pass under the pan. The pan has a turned-over flange 6 to provide a peripheral slot 8 through which flushing water issues. The water is supplied to the slot 8 from a chamber 4 1 through openings 4 2 , the chamber 4 1 having an opening 4 through which water can be supplied to wash chamber pots if the flushing handle is only slightly depressed. A flexible joint 20 may be used for connecting a cistern down-pipe 5 and a similar joint for connecting the outlet 32 to the sewer. Blankedoff holes 21 may be provided for the connection of a ventilator.
