Abstract
1288786 Portable closet KOEHLER-DAYTON Inc 5 Dec 1969 [9 Dec 1968] 59646/69 Heading E1C A portable closet with recirculatory flushing has a main tank 10 with an opening 12 in the bottom aligned with an opening 27 (Fig. 7) in the top, an assembly including a pump 30, filter 32 and seal 35 being inserted through the opening 27 and fixed in position with the seal 35 in the opening 12. The filter has a frustoconical lower rim 70 which co-operates with a similarly shaped inner surface 72 of the seal 35 to force an external peripheral rib 76 into contact with the surrounding of opening 12 when the assembly is pressed down, the lip 75 forming a second seal with the tank base. The seal 35 also has flow vanes 55. For flushing, liquid is sucked through filter 32 and pumped through pipes 46 and 49 to the flushing manifold 20, the pump being operated by a pushbutton actuated timer 58, Fig. 1. For cleaning the closet, water is supplied via a fitting 60 and pipe 61 to a rotating nozzle 62 and also, via pipe 67 and a one-way valve, to pipe 49 and thence back through the filter 32.
