Abstract

1,142,416. Two-part couplings. INTERNATIONAL STANDARD ELECTRIC CORP. 5 May, 1967 [7 May, 1966], No. 20928/67. Heading H2E. The bayonet pin or pins of a plug or socket unit of a connector are received in the mating unit in one or more guide grooves 1 which have a greater curvature at their open ends than at their inner ends so that the connector parts move axially together by progressively smaller amounts as the parts are twisted together. These guide grooves may be disposed around the circumference of the mating unit and mutually overlap.
