Abstract

1,141,604. Valves. AGRICULTURE, FISHERIES & FOOD, MINISTER OF. 6 July, 1966 [9 April, 1965], No. 15145/65. Heading F2V. A valve operable manually and hydraulically or pneumatically comprises a closure member 9 having an 0-ring 16 engageable with a seat 18 to stop flow from an inlet 19 to an outlet 20. In the closed position, the outlet is bled via passages 24a, 24b in plug 5. When the member 9 is unseated, either by knob 14 or pressure acting on piston 27, an 0-ring 17 on stem 12 obturates the bleed passage. When used in an automatic dosage device, the valve may be operated in a timed relationship with other such valves. Return springs 23, 30 are provided. The outlet may lead to a piston controlling a pinch cock.
