Abstract
1,140,814. Grinding. J. JANUSCHKOWETZ. 10 May, 1967 [10 May, 1966], No. 21624/67. Heading B3D. A grinding device for a reaper blade 4 comprises a grinding wheel 1 adjustable about a horizontal axis A to inclined positions on either side of the axis, and a carrier frame 2 for supporting the blade in a horizontal position during grinding and for adjustment about a vertical axis B. The grinding wheel 1 and its motor 18 are adjustable by handle 12 about the axis A to the inclined positions for grinding one side or the other of the blades 16 of the reaper blade 4. The blade is secured by screws 14 to a bar 3 carried by levers 5 rockable about a pivot shaft 6 by handles 7 and slidable along the shaft to position successive blades adjacent the grinding wheel, the blades, in the grinding position, resting on a support 9 of the carrier frame 2 which is adjustable about the vertical axis B and is clampable in adjusted position by a handle.
