[Also in Division C7] Immediately it emerges from a hot rolling stand, and while it is still at above 400‹ C., a steel plate or other steel stock has a solution of phosphoric acid applied to it. The solution may contain 0À5% to 20% by weight of phosphoric acid, and may be applied by spraying, the solution providing resistance against scale formation and rust.
