C. engine, the rotor 10 is driven through a fluid coupling 9 discharging fluid, e.g. oil, through a bore 14 into a collecting chamber 8 which in turn delivers the fluid through ducts 16, 17 into a steering gear-box or a crankshaft housing 1. The duct 16 extends through a stationary aerofoil 15, and the duct 17 extends through a support 2 for the fan. Air can pass from the housing 1 to the chamber 8 through a passage in the support 2, a bore in a second stationary aerofoil, an arcuate passage 19 and a passage 20. A regulator 23 controls the fluidflow through the coupling, and thus the torque transmitted thereby, in accordance with engine temperature. Leaking fluid from the regulator passes through a passage 24 and into the housing 1 via the duct 17 or via the bore in the second stationary aerofoil. The rotor casing 4, the support 2 and the housing 1, or only two of these parts, may be moulded as one piece.
