Abstract

1,136,993. Spray-producers. CAMERONIRRIGATION CO. Ltd. 7 Sept., 1967 [19 Oct., 1966], No. 46676/66. Heading B2F. A trickle nozzle for land-irrigation comprises an externally screwthreaded stud 4 formed with a flange 7 adapted to be pushed through an aperture in a flexible pipe 5 of polyvinyl chloride or rubber, the stud 4 having an axial passage 9, an internally screwthreaded tubular member 3 adapted to screw onto the stud 4 at one end and to receive a plug 6 at its other end, the plug 6 being externally screwthreaded, and the screw threads of the tubular member 3 being truncated so as to define a helical discharge passage 12 between the tubular member and the plug 6. The flow resistance of the passage 12 may be varied by adjusting the distance by which the plug 6 is screwed into the tubular member 3, thus regulating the rate of discharge of liquid, or the pressure of the discharged liquid.
