Abstract

The nozzle is used for agricultural irrigation and comprises a body (14) with a discharge orifice (32), this has three inwards pointing lips (38, 40) spaced equally around it. The rear of this body forms a chamber (30) with the water inlet connector (18), this latter being screwed (20) onto the supply pipe against a seal (22). A flexible disc (34) fits loosely in the chamber, being pushed against the orifice under water pressure. A hole (36) through the disc distorts into the discharge orifice, in proportion to the water pressure, to give constant flow. The lips provide regular distribution.
