Abstract

1,124,651. Shuttering for casting towers. SPEZIALBAUKOMBINAT MAGDERBURG. VEB. 24 Aug., 1965, No. 36401/65. Heading E1S. A shuttering system for casting cooling towers, chimneys and other annular structures of varying diameter and wall thickness comprises a ring of telescopic shuttering sections 2 mounted on outrigger brackets 5, 6 6 which are interconnected by pivotal link bars 7 and longitudinally adjustable rods 10 whereby adjacent brackets can be relatively moved to vary the size of the ring. The shuttering is adjustably mounted on yokes 3 by jack bolts 3a and the yokes in turn are secured to a lifting device 4, support rollers 13 being provided as shown. Supports 11 for decking may be mounted on the brackets together with rails 12. For a modified arrangement of link bars and an arrangement utilising intermediate supports disposed between adjacent outrigger brackets.
