Abstract

1,115,068. Moving coil meters. SAUSER, A. G. Sept. 22,1965 [Sept. 29, 1964], No. 40422/65. Heading G1Q. The coil of a moving coil meter is wound on a rectangular metal former with recessed sides so that members movable with the coil - such as the pointer 15, an anchor member 16 for the control spring and bearing pins 19- can be accommodated within the recesses and held in position by the coil windings 22. The former 11 consists of a length of tubing which has been pressed into rectangular shape and the recesses 13 for the pointer and spring anchors are annular recesses surrounding, preferably concentrically, the recesses 20 for the bearing pins.
