The tubular members 30 are pivotally attached by bolts 31 to the front frame members of a wheel chair so that they may be moved from the horizontal position shown in which the members 44 form leg rests to a near vertical position in which they serve as foot rests. The stay rods 32 may secure the rests in any adjusted position by the locking devices comprising a spring-urged inclined plates 37 surrounding the rods.
