Abstract

1,109,139. Spherical buildings; building panels. ELECTRONIC SPACE STRUCTURES CORPORATION. 9 Sept., 1965, No. 38624/65. Headings E1A and E1W. A spherical or hemispherical structure such as a radome is constructed from a series of triangular sections which are bolted together, each section consisting of corner portions 34 and side plates 26 which are grooved to receive closure panels 21. The members 26, 34 are made of aluminium or aluminium alloy whilst the panels 21 are made of like material or synthetic plastics; the panels being adhesively secured in the grooves the outer walls 28 of which are deformable.
