Abstract

1,107,001. Wells. CAMERON IRON WORKS Inc. 30 April, 1965 [22 May, 1964], No. 18376/65. Heading E1F. In a subaqueous well comprising a casing head 28, a tubing hanger 84 having flow passages 84c, 84d, and a Christmas tree 95 having flow passages 95a, 95b, means 94, 112 are provided to ensure accurate alignment of the passages in the tree with those in the hanger. The lug 94 on the hanger engages a slot 112 in a connector 99 which is lowered onto the head with the tree and has dogs 105 for connection to the head. During installation of the hanger the lug co-acts with a cam tube (74) (Fig. 5, not shown) to rotationally align the hanger, the tube being rotationally aligned with a connector (36) joining the hanger to blow out preventers by a spring pressed latch (73). The casing head is surrounded by guides for lowering the components of the wellhead, and a post (27) (Fig. 10 not shown) is adapted to support the head of a multiple flowline (113), which is connected to the tree by a section (116).
