1,106,266. Packages. G. J. HEYER MANUFACTURING CO. 19 Dec., 1966, No. 56693/66. Heading B8C. A package is formed by placing articles 5, e.g. cans, on a tray, placing a top panel 4 on the articles, putting a film 10 around the vertical faces of the assembly, adhering some opposed marginal edge portions of the film 10 to the top panel 4 and tray, and heat shrinking the film, mainly along its axis which extends around the vertical faces. As described, there are two trays 2, 3 having vertically extending edges 7, 8 and each containing twelve cans 5. The top panel 4 has vertical flanges 9 and strips of adhesive 12, corresponding strips 12 also beng bonded to the bottom of tray 2.
